Recycling industries

Hadera Paper, via its subsidiary Amnir, is the leading waste paper, cardboard, newspaper and plastic recycling organization in Israel. Each year, approximately 260,000 tons of waste paper are collected for recycling, representing a recycling rate of 26% in comparison to over 50% in many European countries.
Through an advanced service and logistics line, Amnir collects waste for recycling uses from some 15,000-collection points throughout the country. To optimize the collection of waste throughout Israel, the Company invests resources in the development and manufacture of unique containers for the collection, pressing and compaction of materials; the Company has also invested in an efficient conveyance from customers’ sites to the recycling plants. The collected waste is sorted at the Company’s plants; sorted waste and is then integrated as raw material in the manufacturing processes of various types of paper.
Waste newspaper and cardboard are used to produce packging paper, which in turn are used by the cardboard industry to produce corrugated layers.
Waste white paper is used to produce household paper products. The augmented collection of waste supports the use of existing pulp fibers. Furthermore, as a result of collecting and recycling waste, the volume of local waste sent to landfills is reduced thereby mitigating damage to soil and environmental quality.
The Company actively invests in education and information among pupils, soldiers and students in order to assimilate the habit of collecting, dispensing and recycling waste paper and cardboard.
