The Packaging Paper & Recycling Division is Israel’s leading entity in manufacturing packaging paper and in collecting and recycling paper, cardboard and plastic. The division has three primary activity units:

Manufacture of recycled packaging paper Hadera Paper Industries Ltd. is the Group’s manufacturing and marketing company for quality, recycled packaging paper. Located at the Group’s Hadera site, the company’s plant manufactures approximately 220 thousand tons of packaging paper per annum. The plant makes use of an advanced technology to produce paper meeting high quality standards as well as stringent environmental quality standards. The paper produced serve as raw materials for the corrugated board industry (the field of fluted boards). Approximately 80% of manufactured products are sold to the local market and the remainder is exported. The paper is produced from recycled waste paper (cardboard and newspaper) collected from various sources throughout Israel, mainly via Amnir.

Recycling Industries Ltd. In 2007, the board of directors of Hadera Paper approved an investment of approximately 700 million NIS in a new manufacturing line for recycled packaging paper. The new line, expected to operate in the course of 2009, shall enable the doubling of the manufacturing capacity as well as the broadening of product variety to additional types of paper. The expansion of the manufacturing line is designed to meet changing market demands and expected increase thereof in coming years.
Collection and recycling of paper and paperboard The activities are performed via Amnir Recycling Industries, Israel’s leading, veteran company for collection and recycling of paper and corrugated paperboard. The company collects waste paper from civil and industrial sources throughout the country and treats over 200 thousand tons of waste paper per annum (woodfree paper, paper with wood, and paperboard).

Collection and recycling of plastic Amnir Plastic collects and recycles over 8,000 tons of plastic per annum. Leading plastic plants in Israel and abroad are among the company’s customers. The company constantly endeavors to improve and adapt its products to its customers’ needs. The sources for plastic recycling are industrial plants, agriculture, etc. This recycled produce is used to manufacture recycled raw material serving as a substitute for virgin material.
